I am selling this block and misc. parts for a friend that is currently out of the country. It was in his GT500 Shelby and he upgraded to a 427 block using the 428’s crank and rods. This has just been sitting around, collecting dust and he has finally decided to let it go. This 428 was a great running engine that was only used for about 1 or 2,000 miles when he decided to go bigger.
The block casting number is: C6ME-A Has a large upside down “A” cast into it at the back
Date Code: 6J24 which should be Sept. 24 1966
Sonic Tested and Magna Flux inspected block prior to the last build
Recently bored to + .060 and has no ring ridges or cylinder sleeves as well as no evidence of ever being blown up.
Included is a set of Federal-Mogul #2245-60 forged pistons & pins that were in the engine and they are as they came out of the engine. Including the piston rings.
1 set of New Connecting Rod Bearings
1 set of New Main Bearings
The Cam bearings are the ones installed during the last build and are excellent

3 used and quite dirty Rocker Arm assemblies, Hydraulic.
1 Valley pan
1 Oil pan
2 High Performance Camshafts. 1 is Competition Cams and the other is supposed to be from Ford

Got any passenger side A/C compressor brackets?
I stuffed a 428CJ in a '53 F-100 and I live in middle hell. Must have A/C!! Need a passenger-side bracket for the Sanden compressor. Got one? Know of any?? It doesn't have to be show quality, I'll probably have to do a bit of alteration anyway. cybull@sbcglobal.net
