dumb question

88 f150 8.8 has 31 spline axles right?

im looking at a L/S diff. out of a mustang or f150 on ebay.... with 3.73 gears

Correct, they are 31's. Most 8.8 Mustangs will have 28 spline shafts unless they had installed 31 spline shafts or the L/S is out of certain model year Cobras....

Should be 31 but you can double check with this chart.

The trucks are 31 spline , the mustang is 28 spline , ...Lew

X2! Not a good idea on a street driven rig. I've tried it(in a 9inch) I broke the crosspin, the carrier, and axle shafts. Then went to a full spool, and broke that in half. So, I put a lock right in and had good luck. I'm running a aussie locker in my 8.8 and love it!

Yeah i thought you were looking at the posi , don't get the mini spool , not made for the street , a detriot tru trac would work nice....

someone bought it it was a LS diff with 3.73 gears
