Info station blank

Info station blank
So I have a 2004 F-150 XLT and the information station went blank, yet the green back light is still lit. No information is being shown, i.e Trip, outside temp, or total mileage. What would be causing this problem????

I have this same problem on my '06 and I have yet to find the cause. Mine only happens intermittently. Usually if I let the truck sit out in the sun for a day it will be blank when I get back but recently it happened on the way back from a ski trip. I've heard of a few other people with the same problem but I haven't heard of a solution yet. Hopefully someone can chime in here.
