sending unit ?
Does anyone know if the sending unit from my rear tank will work in my front tank?
I went on a ford parts website and they show the same part # for both of them but was wondering if someone could confirm.
My truck is a 95 f-350 reg. cab long box 4x4 with factory tanks. The rear one leaks and now the line broke off the top of the front sending unit.
Looking for a quick fix to get it on the road as it is my plow truck and I cant wait for a new rear tank to come in.

there different in terms of shape to compensate for the length of the front tank. the front tank unit is physically longer so it drops down like 5 " then its like another 7 or 8 inches long. the rear one drops down the same and is about the same long ways. it will work and go in but i dont belive it will read correctly.
