Took out a GMC today

Anti-Lock Brakes. I am not sure if not having them would have made a difference, but never the less they didn't stop me in time.

I rear ended a 98 GMC Jimmy today. I am not sure why she decided to stop! The roads were slick from snow, traffic was bad, less than 10 mph. I hit the brakes and the ALB engauged and the slow motion set in. Then CRUNCH!!! I felt helpless.

Thankfully, my 6 & 4 year old are fine. They thought it was fun. The woman I hit was ok. I am fine. My bumper needs work. Anyone know a good place to order a new one for an 2002 f250?

The GMC Jimmy, May it Rest In Peaces!! I am sure it was totaled. The bumper was crunched and the rear hatch wouldn't open. She was able to drive away.

I guess I may be get the 6.7 sooner than I thought.

Glad everyone is all right...a bumper is a lot less than a new truck. But...these 2011 trucks are nice

Based on your driving skills, you might want to look into ranchhand bumbers.

I wish a 2011 bumper would work. Maybe if I start there I could have a new truck in a couple of years.HAHAHa

I will try to get photos posted. My truck isn't awful. The bumper didn't get the trans cooler or the radiator.

Do you guys know of a good parts dealer that isn't too expensive

Thanks,

Check out LMC. I bought new door glass from them and they are very reasonable.

Good to hear no one was hurt and that it was your old truck and not your new one! Shortly after my brother bought his 2008 F350 he T boned a Blazer that blew through a red light. Talk about demoralizing... After $5k of repairs, it looks good as new, not so for the Blazer.
