At the risk of reprimand, has anyone seen the Jan. 011 issue of DIESELPOWER magazine? There is an article on page 144 regarding a year long project involving the new 6.7's. Looks to be interesting. Hopefully they will be honest and upfront with info. I'll be subscribing for at least one year. Not promoting the mag, just FYI.

no reprimand...why would there be? IMO, all the rags, paper and internet, are so beholden to their advertisers that their opinion is rendered worthless. An example would be the recent "breaking news" regarding the new technology being hawked for the egr cooler/oil cooler problems with the 6.0. The articles,in both mags, were written by the retailer of the product. The worst of it is that all this information, and how to fix it without the "breaking news" stuff, has been available here for about 2 years, maybe more. How do you spell cynical?

Welcome to FTE!

No reprimand here, this falls within the guidelines. If you were "cheerleading," that is constantly promoting another website or forum then this would be against the rules.

But feel free to reference anything that may be of interest to the rest of us!

I was killing some time in Wallyworld while Deb shopped. I visited their library and reviewed the issue mentioned. I had to laugh. Opened the cover and there is the prettiest pink 2 page Chevy ad with a very cute 6.7 Ford in a cradle. I wonder what that cost GM? A few pages later, a news tease about the "Rumble" and how once and for all the power questions would be put to rest. Well, it is obvious where the money came from. Coincidentally, no Ford ads in the entire issue. How does Epic spell cynical? I did read the article. I wonder if Ford voided their warranty???

Regards

Hey, thanks Crazy001. Pretty new to these forums. I don,t know all the rules and regs yet. I did peruse the guidelines section posted with your signature. Handy dandy.

Having just trading my 07 Dury in August for the new SD, I find myself on this forum alot! Wife says I'm becoming a geek. I hope she meant that in a nice way. You guys hash out some pretty interesting topics.

The ad inside the cover Rickatic's referring to made me chuckle. Cynical, yes. Taunting, yes. Amusing, you betcha.

Anyway, just wanted you all to know about the year long project so we can keep 'em honest.

I noticed when in the picture on the dyno they'd swapped out the cab/mirror lights with Recon. Looks good.

Its always funny when I go to talk to my Ford fleet guy or the service advisor and what ever "newest" information they pull up on their Ford computers I'm already holding in my hand all printed out!
