ok so i sent my truck off for alignment and i was then told my camber bushings are worn out which i half expected because that would be the one thing i didn't change in the hubs..... so now i get to take them apart again and put some camber bushings in my question is out of all the ones available at oriellys how do i know which ones i need and how many bushings do i need i know the ones that say per box mean there are two in the box so how many boxes do i need..... the guys that did the alignment said one side was -1 and one was at 1

hope u didnt go to les schwab. last time i when there with my ttb they not only said that but that i need a whole new front end. i asked well whats wrong with it and they said its not fixable. i no longer go there. this was a while ago tho
oh no my brother goes to the tech school i used to go to before i graduated and the auto tech class there has a alignment machine they're the ones who did it for me and i have no problem believing the camber is off based on how bad it was eating my tires
The upper ball joint goes into the "camber bushing" and they are rotated to get your camber. Most of the time they have to be replaced because you can't spin them once they have been in for awhile even if they are still good. They aren't expensive them selves, just work. If you add a heavy leaf under the front ,which I did on one of my trucks, you can't get the camber right and without putting you axle joints in a pretty high degree angle. The best thing then is to drop the pivot points down. They make after market brackets for that or you can make them. Well if you have the stuff to do it. They aren't hard but I understand that most people don't have shops with that kind of tooling.
so i only actually need one box which is set of 2 bushings i take it? and which ones do i need i see a bunch that allow for different degrees of adjustment

The set I put in a couple of years ago were adjustable. They are made with an offset hole for the ball joint and you spin them to get your angle.
yea i know they are adjustable the issue is the different ones allow for different degrees of adjustment click on the link in my first post and look at how many options theyre are
I follow you now. Missed the link earlier. The last pair I bought the parts guy was really knowledgeable and he asked me if my truck was stock. It basically is and he gave me a pair that worked....Anyway if your truck is stock then I wouldn't imagine that you want one that is o to +4. I would think a set that is like 1.5 to 1.5 should get you where you want. I have done allot of alignment stuff but not these trucks so I can't tell what is typical for this particular or common for this truck. I work on class 7 and 8 trucks mostly. Camber is built in on their axles. Try calling a Napa store and see what they show and sell the most of. I don't know how good your parts stores are. Mine is really good and they sell to allot of shops so they would be able with something like this.
i deal with autozone mostly where i live now as they have a really friendly and helpful staff. but they for some reason or another can't seem to come up with these bushings ive gone through theyre website on my own as well and nothing. i used to do almost all of my business with orielly in my hometown for the same reasons but the one here is run by a ********* i get the feeling he don't like young people....
It can be tough finding parts and good parts people. I am fortunate that I have allot of connections from my dealership days and I still buy allot of parts from these guys. I could ask tom. what is the most common for these. I know a alignment guy pretty well also.
also did you have any luck figuring out what comes in the works kit for these engines i read in the other thread it was a in the truck rebuild which makes it seem impossibe to be a complete kit with almost no way to do the cam main and rod bearings or rings
I can find out tom. I never asked exactly what was in it but I will. It will be tom. evening most likely. My buddy at my local IH dealer works nights. I have to go by there in the morning and take care of a bill from this weekend. One of our drivers picked up an alternator and I have to pay for it. I will see who is there in the morning.
Well I didn't get a chance to check on the bushings, Sorry am very busy right now. I did check on the works kit. I looks like the only way IH has it in their system is STD only. It does have all the bearing, piston assembles, and gaskets....They can't do anything with the factory 94 turbo motors. There are allot of differences between those motors and the other 7.3's. I didn't realize the oil cooler was different till today. I am going to check with Ford in the morning about a kit for it. I have to go by there and get some parts for a lovely 6.4. . Another cab comes off tom.
