Okay guys I own a 6.0 powerstroke, one morning i left my house and right there it just fell rlat on its face. I go to turn the truck back on and all the relays went crazy cruise control light was flickering. My friend came and scanned the truck said it was a bad ficm i replaced that now the truck does the same thing i think the gem module is bad i dont want to purchase anything else until i know for sure what the problem is. I need help guys.
would that cause everything in the cab to do this? it has no problem cranking over.
Somewhere on this truck there will be smaller wires that are hooked to the same spot as some of the larger wires. This will be where they tap off for power to the rest of the truck. This is usually at the fender mounted or firewall mounted starter relay/solenoid. I would check the condition of the wires there also.
GEM module only controls the functions in the body like domelights, wipers, door locks, etc. if your truck even has a GEM. They quit using the GEM on the later trucks, so I don't even know if you have one or not.
