Timing was right. I stumbled onto a small polishing shop during the hard times 2 years ago. After taking them parts and spreading the word around, business picked up. I'm off on Fridays so I started hanging around. Given the oppurtunity to learn to polish I took them up on it. Shortly thereafter I became a partner. Business continued to come in. I started doing my own stuff. When I can't be there my stuff gets done anyways. I now have a new hobby and a small partnership in a business. Timing is everything.

If you've got good business now, you're definitely doing something right. Good job Robert. Protecting trade secrets?

Yes! It took me a year to learn. And I'm still learning.

Depends, anodizing has to be removed. (I send this out) Once I get it back, usually a day for polishing. In reality one week. If shop is real busy sometimes two weeks. That all depends on customers, what they have, and if a date has been promised.

If your '62 has a chrome steel grille, your truck was assembled before September 1961, and it's the same grille used in 1961.

C1TZ-8200-A .. Chrome Steel Grille has "FORD" located in center / Obsolete

1961 F100/600 Custom Cabs, ditto 1962 F100/600 Custom Cabs before serial number 210,001 (September 1961).

C2TZ-8200-C .. Anodized Aluminum Grille has a 4 pointed "star" in the center / Obsolete

1962 F100/600 Custom Cabs from serial number 210,001.

1963/66 Custom Cabs & 1965/66 Rangers also have anodized aluminum grilles

I would assume so, except the 1961 Merc grilles would have MERCURY in the center instead of FORD

1962/66: Ford or Mercury letters are located on the upper grille panel.
