'88 M5R2 tranny, smells like burning and low clutch pedal

Slowly but surelly i'm going down the list of problems on my newlly bought 1988 F150.

Clutch time.

Pedal is very low, and very very stiff! Catches good, clutch doesn't slip, clutch master is toped up.

I removed the rubber inspection cover on the side of the trans. to inspect the slave, it isn't leaking. I did alot of re-search in this forum on this tranny, and I really don't like what I've read, I've heard they like to leak on the slave, so I first checked that, seems fine, I didn't get a chance to check it's operation tho, but I'll get to that.

Another thing, when driving, doesn't take long at all, something will start to smell very harsh in the cab, I can't tell for sure, but its either burning clutch or burning transmission. Clutch doesn't slip at all, I have a tach in this truck and I did all possible test for sliping clutch.

I have not checked tranny fluid level, but when I removed the driveshaft, a bit driped out, so it should be toped up (the truck was level).

Any ideas? I'm new to these Mazda trannys.
