351m or 400 which

I have a 78 f-150 with a tag that is missing how do I tell what I have (where to find the numbers) any help would be appreciated

You can tell off the vin number, or by the thickness of the balance. Ask the guys in the 351m/400 forum for more ways

351m or 400 which

VIN#'s mean nothing if the engine has been swapped.

You need to measure the stroke for an accurate ID.

The 400 has a 4" stroke.
