B&M shift plus
Has anyone installed a B&M Shift Plus Shift improver? It is an electronic kit with a performance mode and a stock mode. I am wanting to put a shift improver in the Expy and this looks pretty interesting. It does not require dropping the pan, and removing the valve body, then replacing ***** and springs. It simply recalibrates the Computer for firmer, quicker, shifts. It says all it does is increase line pressure. Any input will be appreciated! TIA!

Been there, done that, removed it. I didn't like the unit. It is just a switch with a resistor to change the line pressure. While it does change the line pressure, the shifts don't feel quite right. I went for the regular kit in the tranny valve body. Much better now. The shift kit also changes the line pressure, but there are many changes in the valve body which make the transmission shift better.

The valve body kit is made by B&M also. It is a true shift kit in which the pan needs to be dropped, the valve body can be removed and the check ***** and springs are changed. The kit is $35 from JC whitney. It Changes shift points and firmness of shifts. It will also increase line pressure. You can really tell the diffrence in a vehicle with a shift kit and one without. It will eliminate shift overlap and sluggish shifts as well. Well worth the time and $$$ in my opinion!
