My father-in-law lives in Buffalo. He was complaining about 3' of snow on Facebook a couple days ago.

Honestly I'm jealous. Up here it's just cold, we hit -4° F this morning! I'm looking for an excuse to buy a plow.

I want snow, too. We had a little dusting early Dec last year but no snow in sight so far. Although I'm guessing these conti-tracks suck in snow.

On the note of wrecks, ALMOST had a SUV lane change into the side of my truck today. How do you not see these vehicles?!?!?!?!?!?
So in case anyone doesn't know yet, the brakes work because she completed the lane change (never even looked) but thankfully I was out of the way by then.
She caused my slice of cheese cake to break in half as it flew across the cab.

Oh, man, sorry to hear about your dessert! And your truck! Did it clean up okay?

I had a panic braking moment a few weeks after I got the truck. Lady was at an intersection, she had a red light and I had a green. Looking down, digging in her purse she didn't realize she wasn't on the brake hard enough and started creeping out into the intersection. I had nowhere to go, as there was someone next to me, so I hammered the brakes. Stopped 5 feet from her door from 50 MPH.

Honestly I wasn't impressed; the brakes did their job and brought all the wheels to the point of lockup but I still felt it should have stopped quicker. I'm thinking the beefier, LT-rated tires have a harder tread compound...

I had a near-panic stop pulling my fiver, and the thing came to a halt well before I expected it to. It was only from 40 mph, but the short light in a small TX town... dern near got me

I think people misgauge the size of these trucks and as a result do stupid things. Think about a really large airplane flying over your house. It seems to be moving really slow, compared to that small airplane that just whizzed by. In actuality, the big airplane is probably move 80 knots faster than the small one.

probably more like 2-300 knots faster if you're talking about what I think you're talking about

You'd think that I am 19 years old by saying this and having these. But, a quick shot of my Shocker air horns from HornBlasters cures the folks of not seeing me, coming into my lane, or pulling out in front of me.

I'm 40, but those air horns actually do a much better job than the factory horn and I don't use them just to annoy people, they really work.
