93 eagle vision no start
btw, i have a subscribtion to a repair site, its not as good as mopars own or alldata, but it at least get me some information
for the dis system, the manual has a failure to start diagnostic chart (here is a copy, its the very last post 1995 Intrepid No Start [Archive] - DodgeIntrepid.Net Forums - Dodge Intrepid, Concorde, 300m and Eagle Vision chat) that involves pulling the 4 pin connector off the coil pack (one b+ wire and three signal wires) and putting a test light into the bat+ terminal in the harness. it says that when you turn the key on it should light up and shut off after 1 second, which means that the auto shut down relay is working, which it is. then you crank the engine and watch the light.
after staying on the first second or so of cranking it will flash. I tested the wiring for shorts to power, shorts to ground, and load tested all of the wires to the computer (pushed current through it and made it light up my test light) and everything was how it was supposed to be, so i got a new cam sensor. with no improvement.
i have resistance tested the coil pack as well, and my signal voltage to the sensor is good, and it has not tossed the timing belt
I am thinking about momentarily grounding one of the signal wires to the coil pack, just to see if i can get the coil to fire.
I don't have a set of noid lights to check if the injectors are firing, might use my test light and hope it can light up fast enough.
i have heard about testing cam position sensor signals with a dwell meter, but i don't think it would have enough signal while cranking.
wish i still had access to a DRBIII.
have i ever mentioned that i hate dodge?
