brake conversion question

i just purchased a 1966 ford F-100 from the original owner in north carolina and the truck still has the original drum brakes. my question is, what years will work on upgrading to a disc brake system in the rear and do you know what the estimated cost is to purchase the conversion kit?
thanks

Disc brakes on the rear aren't really nescessary on the rear. As far as I know ford never put discs on the back of old trucks or trucks in general. A good dual circut brake system and front discs would be a good upgrade though if it doesn't already have it. Why not spend your money moving the gas tank to the back or electronic ignition?

I agree with saskpwr. Don't know which engine/tranny you have in the truck, but buy a donor 73-79 for 6cyl, 73-76 for V8 with tranny you want to end up with and harvest the I-beams, steering gear and all other parts to make your truck happy.
