Freezing keyless entry key pad

Now that its finally getting cold around here i'm having trouble with my keypad buttons freezing. Which especially sucks because i usually lock my keys in it while i'm at work. Any suggestions on any products to use to prevent this. I tried wd-40 but it still freezes up after some rain or snow seeps into the buttons.

I've never had any problems with mine, it sits out in the weather 24/7. Is it possible there is a crack somewhere, maybe between the keys that's letting water in? I've had the "Keyless" option on several Fords without incident. A bit off Topic, but my 99 Expedition is the first out of several where the key pad will unlock the door with the engine running...
