does anyone make a idler pulley bracket for removing smogpump on 87 5.o

Check with Ford Motorsports, I think I saw one in their catalog.

'87 5.0 should be serpentine, no? If so, you shouldn't need one, just let the belt go straight from your crank to your alt. You'll need a belt that's 2" shorter.

invested a little time and found a few things out. PA emissions test will require a visual check at this time, ford motorsport makes a setup for removing the punp. that wont pass. by dropping the belt from the alt to the crank, smog pump pulley rides against belt. running the belt from alt to waterpump to crank to ps to air to tensioner to alt lets me retain the pump for visual check,just replace stock belt with short one after inspection. new belt fall in 79" range. when i stated int was a 87 5.0 i should have explained a little better, 87 f150 347 stoker holley carb. its a blast and im woking on a 428 windsor stroker for it

You can also gut the pump, or just remove the pulley. If you remove the pulley (three simple bolts) the belt will clear the pump and then go from crank to alt. I ran like that for awhile.
