I'm Having a problem with my high beams, The headlights were the first thing I checked, they are good, there is no power at the wire going into the back of both bulbs on only the highbeam side. A new $100 dimmer switch wasn't the problem either. I checked all the fuses under the hood and under the dash too, all good. Is there a relay that goes to just the highbeams? All the relays have the same part number, at least the ones that are the same size and plug configureation. I swapped them around and still no high beams. Anyone got any ideas that I haven't tried yet. Haven't striped the wiring harnesses apart to check for a broken wire yet, but just looking I don't see anything that looks like it could have cut any and see no signs of burnt wires. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

At the central junction box by your left knee (inside the cab), check the fuse for the high beams (it is #16 for a 2001 model year) and see if you have power coming into the fuse when the main headlamp switch is on and the multifunction switch is in the high beam postion. It should be hot on at least one side of the fuse, even if the fuse is blown.
Since you have low beams and have replaced the multifunction switch, your problem should be past the switch. It could be a bad fuse, a connector not making contact or a bad (broken) wire.
Does the high beam indicator in the instrument cluster light up when you select high beams?
Yes I have power on both sides of fuze 16 with the light switch turned on. The high beam indicator light does not come on, on the dash. Thanks for your responce.
I would remove and inspect the big plugs (there are 2) on the back of the main junction box. It takes a 10mm socket to remove the bolt holding the plug in place. You should remove the ground cable from both batteries before doing this. Look for corrosion on the plug pins and recepticles. If the windshield leaks, it can cause problems there. Also check continuity from the fuse to the output plug.
