Morning Vermontonians.

 

Good BC morning Chris. We have some cold and little light snow today. How are things north west of the border?

 

It is supposed to be warming up this week. They are even calling for some mixed snow/rain later in the week.

Still trying to shake off the Monday morning fuzzy head. Takes a while to get going after working the weekend.

 

To true. Its been lightly snowing all day but hasn't added up to anything really.

 

Last week we must have had at least 5 times it started to snow but each time only lasted a few minutes. We only have a couple inches, that will change if it does warm up.

 

Some localized bands of snow today and tonight could give some people 3-10" but all depends where you are.

 

I'm kind of surprised we don't have more. Winter is still young though I guess. I have not had to lift a shovel yet this winter.

 

Each year is different for use. December can go either way for snow. If we have enough for decent snowmobiling by Christmas then we are lucky. We generally get a thaw beginning of January that melts most of it and the need to rebuild the base again.

 

We haven't had a lot the last few years. The experts were calling for lots this winter but it hasn't happened yet.

 

The patterns are still setting up. This week will be our first really cold one where it doesn't get above freezing. Need frost in the ground for the trails anyways. Rumor of a storm this weekend.

 

We had a bit of a cold spell a few weeks ago. It hasn't gotten terribly cold here the last little bit. I'm waiting for the big snowfall, I'm pretty sure it will happen.

 

You get the best the best snow at 25f usually.
