I'm doing the 38 gallon fuel tank, fill neck mod, vent mod, rollover valve relocation, and fuel lines to selector valve upgrade. Problem has come up, the fill neck to the rear tank has previous damage from a tire that let go and I can't reuse it. I already spent enough time messing w/ it so I'll get one from the u-pull it yard.
HERE'S THE QUESTION: Are the gasser necks the same as the diesel necks? By that I mean the actual outer tube that attaches to the fuel door and the tank, not all the crap inside the tube. I figure if they are the same I can gut a gasser neck as easy as a diesel, not many (none) diesels in the u-pick it yards.
Did a search on this question and only found fuel tank/vent mod links.
Thanks to all for the info.
I believe they are exactly the same between gas and diesel OBS trucks. That is why there is such a problem trying to fill our tanks with diesel but not the gas trucks.
