Theres room around the center console, you could always fabricate a box if 2 speakers isn't enough for you.
You could also put a few small speakers up in the dash. Good luck, I'm about ready to put new speakers into my F-250 ext. cab.

Yep. I got a couple of nice 6.5's and still really want more... But as for stock mounts those are the only two.

Man, I wish I had room behind my seat... Right now there is my jack, tool pouch, 15' Super HD jumper cable, gallon anti-freeze, gallon fresh water, quart oil and trans fluid, 100' of rope, assorted candy wrappers and soda bottles.

Where would I put speakers, and then what would I do with my stuff?

Under the dash or in the top of the dash, cut out some holes!
Or...
Build a box behind your seat to hold all your junk and fit in some speakers to the box.
Or...
Under your drivers/ passenger seat.

You can retrofit a couple of rear speakers using parts from a 1992-1996 truck.

Other than that, the standard speakers are...

AM and AM/FM mono and CB Radio: Center Dash Speaker.

AM/FM Stereo and AM/FM Stereo Tape/Cassette: Door Speakers

Sounds like you need a truck bed tool box.

There are twelve philips screws holding on the dash pad.

Four next to the defroster vents, on each side.

Three that also hold the instrument cluster bezel.

Two that hold the radio bezel

and three that are above the glove box door just below the lip of the dash pad.

After all those are removed it should lift right off.

There are some aftermarket companies that make stereo dash center speakers.

These were geared more toward the 1970 and older trucks that didn't have stereo radios as factory equipment.

Not sure how it would sound though...
