HI EVERY ONE... IM NEW TO THIS FORUM AND I NEED SOME HELP...IM PLANNING TO PURCHASE 2000 EXCURSION I NEED SOME ADVISE....WHAT EXACTLY YEAR MODEL IS THE SOLID AXLE IN FRONT? AND HOW MANY INCHES OF LIFT IN ORDER TO FIT 40 INCHES TIRE...THANKS...
If it is a 4wd it is a solid front end. I am not sure how big of a lift you will need but it's going to be a big one to fit 40's. Might as well plan on regearing as well. Good luck!
The front axle is a Dana 50. If you're going with 40" tires and plan on hard off road use, you can always swap out to a Dana 60 front axle from an F350. You're probably looking at 8" of lift depending on your intended use of the truck.
