I need the explorer guys help
I'm usually in the superduty forums but I have a question I'm hoping someone can give me a straight answer for.
My wife has a 2008 Explorer 4x4 and since new I have never seen an indicator light anywhere that tells me its in 4x4 high versus 4x4 auto. The owners manual says there should be a light in the instrument panel to indicate when it is on but I asked the dealer this question and he said there is no indicator for 2008.
When I put it in 4 low there is a light that comes on next to the push button but again the manual says it should light up in the instrument cluster. Now I'm wondering if I'm being fed BS by an incompetent dealer or if someone decided they could save a nickel on indicator lights.
I never seen a light for 4x4 in the instrument cluster when starting it either.
The dealer just flashed the tcm and I lost the traction control indicator light now too so I was hoping to go back armed with some solid advice.
