The Torino is a 71 GT 351c
Love that engine put a new exhaust on it last summer
The truck will probably get some rust fix for now

Here's the '86 XLT Lariat 5.0 I fixed up, towed 400 miles, and surprised my dad with for Christmas. After looking at every one within 150 miles, finally caved in and gave the $4500 firm asking price. Probably put close to $2k in it with repairs, maintenance, and add-ons (full manifold-back exhaust, Line-X, and tint job alone was about $1k of that) plus a lot of my own time and labor. But, every single thing works on it now....cruise, a/c, both tanks, power windows/locks, etc. Closest one I found to this one condition-wise that met his needs of a V8 and AOD was a 47K original mile '86 4x4.....for $12,500.

Thanks, he's proud of it and so am I. Here's the inspiration for it, his '85 with 302, feedback carb, and California emissions that he kept talking about fixing up.

What a great gift, I bet your dad was stoked

I bet it was even harder to hand it over

We have a saying here - there's no such thing as a good cheap ute.

I'm hoping to give my father a 1995 Taurus SHO. I have two that are my own and a third that's my brother's (which is waiting for a new engine (which is at the machinist's shop)).

Thanks guys. I only wish I had done it years ago instead of putting my own projects first.

Every time I hear "Taurus SHO" I can't help but think about Conan O'Brien....

Man, after looking at so many trying to find a good one I'm not so sure they're not.
