Power Brake Failure
On those really cold mornings when I don't have time to warm up the truck (most every day). For the first couple of stops, I don't have power brakes. My thought was perhaps I have some water vapor in the vacuum lines and its freezing up the check valve ?
When I purchased the truck about a year and a half ago, the front brakes weren't releasing quick enough. The mechanic replaced, the front calibers, and rubber hoses. Eventually it was traced back to my Master Cylinder, which he said was being held together with Silicone.
I know i can see gunk between the firewall and the power booster, I would suspect this is more Silicone ? Is there anything important that should be sealed correctly back there ?
When I have the stereo down low enough, you can also hear a hiss from the brake when its pressed ? Its seem that just about every old ford I've driven has had this problem ?
Should any of this concern me ?
