I have 93 Bronco with a 351W, truck was sitting for a while. Went to start it and it wouldn't. Replaced the fuel pump and it fired right up. Ran for maybe a week installed headers and truck still ran then I went out and it wont start.
I know what your thinking so a little more info. I have spark and fuel all the way to the rail.
Also with the header do I need to reconnect the EGR tube and other tube that attaches to the passenger exhaust pipe.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
It only has the single in the tank pump, all of which was replaced. Before when i tried to start it, it would at least fire now not so much. it cranks with no fire checked still have fuel pressure.
Oi vei... don't rebuild the distributor just because it won't start... good grief.
Have you pulled fault codes... if it failed to start the KOEO test should yield some indication as to the cause without resorting to rebuilding chunks of the ignition system.
As to the question about the EGR, YES, you can't arbitrarily disconnect portions of the Thermactor and emissions control system and not create operational issues with an EEC-IV equipped engine.
