oil burner radimators are twice the size of gasser rads. so, in a pinch a gasser rad will work, but not for long, or hauling or in hot areas.

I think he means he wants to take one from a diesel and put it in his gasser?

well, if that is the option, then go fer it. ya may have to modify the mounts a bit, but it should not be much of a difference between the 460 rad.

i bet the mounts are the same, they like to save money by keeping things simple and as interchangeable as possibly to cut mfg. costs. actually sounds like a cheap mod for a mildly built bbf that sees a lot of slow trail rides. keep it nice and cool.

the only question i would have on it is mounts Dan. i know the rad core support is different between the gas and diesel trucks, and i think the rad opening has something to do with it.

you ain't missing anything. they are a biatch to change, especially when somone puts autolite or champion plugs in instead of motorcraft plugs.

maybe try some of those e3 platinum plugs. it'd probably help with the smoking problem those diesels have, maybe even help with cold starts. and maybe even some msd wires, heard they help to reduce egt's.

Yep, was just wondering if I could throw a diesel radiator in my F350. It's twice as fat so I would think cooling would be better. I guess it's worth a try. Some bailing wire and zip ties it'll be good to go right? Just want something to throw in it, I can get my hands on a diesel's radiator for nothing and it's easier then trying to run one down in a junkyard or throw out the cash for a brand new one.

Dan, if I wasn't so lazy that would be quoted in my signature. I agree though, those diesel spark plugs are a bitch to change. xD

if you leave out the smiley it sounds really dumb.

as long as the inlets and outlets are the same for coolant and tranny fluid, i don't see any issues. like you said zip ties and bailing wire make almost everything work. if that doesn't make it fit find some duct tape. ahhhh, the trifecta of rigging
