I am removing the visor on my F250 windshield. There are two mounting plates on the center part of the roof. The plates are about 3"x3" with a single bolt protruding through the center of the plate. The visor is then attached to the bolt.
Does anyone know if the plates are just double sided taped, or glued to the roof? I hope the bolt in the center of the plate does not go through the roof.

The plates were held on with double sided tape. Now how to remove the tape.
