fuel filter

I change my fuel filter yearly,abought 16000 miles.A friend told me that i should change the filter that is in the frame also.first of all i didn't know ther was 2 filters,and if so how often should that one be changed.thanks for any info you could help me with

15k is the normal for changing your fuel filter. More often if you get fuel from questionable stations.

7.3's only have the one filter. 6.0 trucks have two.

It would be a good idea to check your left inside frame rail, someone may have added a filter there, maybe in conjuction with intank fuel pickup, filler tube mods.

Install a fuel pressure gauge to your fuel bowl to get a better understanding of your fuel flow .
The gauge readings reveal quite a bit about conditions of fuel line components.

I am looking to do this on mine soon. any suggestions on how to do this? Make the set up?

Connect it to the fuel bowl port for after the filter.

My gauge connection is different than this but my truck is modified for running on vo. Same principal.
