Question Leaf Spring help

I have a 1987 f250 4x4 and was wondering if leaf springs from a 1977 f250 4x2 would work, due to the fact that my rear leafs are both broke

Thanks alot!
Tyler

your 4x4 should have 3" wide leaves whereas the 2wd should have 2.5" wide leaves. If you machine down .2500" spacers for either side of the 2.5" wide leaves then they should go right in.

check your center!

Need to measure your front leaf hole and measure to center pin. see if their is a difference on centers. this can be different between the to. don't know the spec but need to measure. I would use same width spring if possible but anything is possible.

I meant more of a .250" thick washer that went on either side of the leaf spring bushing on the bolt that holds the things into the hanger. Since the hangers are built for 3" wide springs and the new springs would be 2.5" wide you'd need to make up that 1/2" gap...
