Front Springs...
Still in the research process but I haven't quite found anything that hits home. I feel as if my leave's my f-250 are worn out. I have heard from two different people now that this is a common issue are the extra weight from diesel engine takes their toll on them. There's about an inch of clearance between the spring and the frame bumper.
I've been told to replace the bushings however even is they are totally toasted, looking at the spring and using my common sense, this isn't going to "lift" the spring THAT much to make a difference. Im sure the worn bushings are killing my ride but I need to do something. I'd rather put the money into fixing the problem than to just keep throwing expensive tires on it every year.
Any suggestions on where to start other than bushings? Where is a good source for affordable springs? What "size" springs should I be looking for? Leaf suspension is new to me and if you could give me a brief insight as to how you remove them i'd apppreciate it (i'm assuming you jack up the vehicle but from where...the axl, the frame, etc... and then can you just disconnect them?)
Bushing are going to cost me $55 in parts. That's better spent towards new springs or do you think add-a-leaves will be good?
