vacuum hose from rear axel assemly?

ive got a vacuum hose hanging loose from my rear axle assembly, its plugged in on the driver side of the diff but i have no idea where the other end goes. anyone know what it is?

96 F150 351 4x4

It is just a vent tube for the axle, It usually is clipped to the frame. Look for the clip on the frame above it and you will probably find the other half of the hose.
