I have been doing the internet research on travel trailers and pricing. But I find that I don't have a clue as to how to compare quality and standards with pricing. I can't tell if I am looking at a volkswagen and comparing prices with a Rolls Royce.
Is there a free site to start with listing them or are there only the books I can find. And are there better sources.
Another site is Used RVs, Motorhomes, and Consigned sales - PPL Motor Homes which is in Houston. It is the Nations largest consignment dealer. Online it has floor plans, pricing and other info. I have used it extensively to compare and also just to use as a reference site. Take a look, I hope this helps.
Based upon my experience you have to zero in on a floor plan of your liking then go look at the rig in person. You want to open drawer, see how they fit, look at the plumbing, look underneath the rig, see if you see the obvious and not so obvious flaws.
Check the windows the fit of the door, basically kick the tires...and about the tires, look at them closely then go online see if you can find anything out about them. They should be e-rated and either an LT tire or ST.
What is the max wt of said trailer...what is the axle ratings..
Thanks for the help, as a start it looks like I can draw some conclusions based on the two sites by finding similar sizes and seeing where the professionals have priced them. That gives me a guide and as has been said it kicking the tires and actually getting a feel for the fit and finish.
