94 starter question
Hi all,Happy thanksgiving.... I have a 1994 f350 with the powerstroke. I was cranking the starter the other day and was doing fine then all of a sudden it would just click. not repeated clicking like low battery but just one click. to make sure I put the charger on batterys and pulled and cleaned terminals/conections. still no change. Are there any fusable links from battery to starter? My next step is to run a lead from starter to battery to test the the starter and rule out the solenoid. Any other help or thoughts would be appreciated, Thanks.

It's kinda common that the two screws holding the solenoid on to the side of the starter come loose. Check that too. It happened to mine and my sons last year. If it clicked once then nothing after that, then that would be my first suspect and then a loose battery connection.
