Injector pump problem...

Injector pump problem...

hey guys, I am going to buy a truck from my brother and he replaced the high pressure pump and now the truck wont go..l.; It starts, runs, idles but wont go if you push the go peddle... do you think he did wrong? I would love to take this truck off his hands but I need to know why it wont go??? can anyone help???

Did he hook up the go pedal cable at the IP/HP pump. If it runs then just reach in on the pax side(USA) of the IP and push the throttle lever to see if the RPMs will rise.

What year is this truck? The terminology makes it sound like it might be a 7.3L Powerstroke (High pressure oil pump Vs injection pump)
If its an IDI, beyond the throttle cable and lever it would have to be something internal to the pump. Check the lever as PLC suggested, if it doesnt respond I'd think the replacement pump must be no good.
