Rancho 5000 - Rear Shocks for Excursion

Rancho 5000 - Rear Shocks for Excursion
Howdy all,
I have read posts back and forth regarding Bilstiens and Rancho shocks. For now I am going to go with Rancho 5000s for my 2000 2WD Excursion.
I was wondering why no one (including Rancho) lists an RS5000 rear shock for the Excursion.
I rarely haul anything major except maybe a box of wieners or my little utility trailer (300-500 pounds max).
I don't really feel like sinking the bux into a set of 9000s. Are the 5000's strong enough for the rear?

Try looking for Monroe shocks. Monroe makes the Rancho shocks. I had Monroe shocks before I lifted my Ex and put on the Rancho 9000xl's
The Monroe's were fine. I love the 9000xl's, but I don't know if the shocks made the difference or the new springs with the lift.

I had 4 rancho 5000's on my 05 Ex 4x4....
worked well, just that I wanted the adjustability of the 9000's....
sitting in the garage with the nice purty red boots awaiting Rancho's liftetime satisfaction warranty decision
