Periodic surges

When driving the truck this evening I had a surge 3 separate times. Each surge was the same and very brief, maybe 1/10 of a second each with maybe a minute between. Not enough to make the truck move any quicker, just enough to make the engine move up 150rpms or so. I was not towing anything. Something similar to this happened a few weeks ago, but it stopped altogether after 2 or 3 times. Anyone know what is causing this?

This could be normal if your trucks not warmed up and its cold out.

I agree if the truck was cold. I always warm up the truck and the truck was at normal operating temperature at the time of the surges. I had been driving it for 20-30 minutes prior to the random surges.

I run DieselKleen every tank. Probably just an isolated incident. I heard something once about the accelerator pedal gets dirty contacts which can cause surging or rough acceleration?
