I have a 89 F150 4x4 5.0 5spd.
The Volt and Fule gauge work
The Temp and the Oil pressure gauage always read low pressure and cold.
I know it has 35 lbs of oil pressure when warm at idle. I have tried new sending units and put different gauages in but it still dont work right. I did not change the whole cluster just individual gauges. It did this when i had the 300I in and still does it after i swaped a 5.0 in. Both are fuel injected.
What do i need to check
Thanks
Check the resistance between the sender terminal at the engine and the gauge terminal at the cluster connector (same color wire). It should be almost 0 Ohms. Then check from the gauge's pin to the terminal of the cluster on the film circuit - it should be 20 Ohms.
