hey guys well...i did a pretty bug burnout the other night. when i let off the brake i was still pretty well mashed. it took off no problem then went to shift to second and revved really high before i let off and it shifted. after that it was fine. i stopped and tried it again and it done the same thing. the next morning. all was fine and never done it again. haha so is this just the tranny slipping? or what?
the e4od's tend to have a...weird shift every now and then. i remember when i had my red truck with a certain tune and heavy in the throttle it would hesitate on a shift into 2-3d and rev out and SLAM into gear and break the tires loose, it was brutal. if it starts doing it again, then id say the converter or some of your forward clutches are going out the window. these are anything but stout trannys. last safely till 160k, on your own from there LOL
Yea rider that sounds like what is happening but it's only in 1-2 and it only happened 2. I was wondering about the converter also. Oh well. She's good for now. I guess I'll wait on the stage 1s and I already had myself talked into it too! Haha ok so how much does a bts run?
a BTS is the best tranmission you can have for these trucks, its 100% guarenteed for life, if it ever breaks, which you will need 1000+hp to kill and years of abuse he shipps you another one, hes only had a few break, one guy had over 10 years and 100,000 miles on it, started slipping or something grenaded and he had a new tranny at his doorstep in 2 days no charge.
anything shy of cheap but its around 4500 i think, id spend it and forget about it if i had an auto and was going for the power im going.
$3800 plus tax which is high in arkansas plus about$ 100 for schaffers synthetic trans fluid which is what he puts in and he highly recommends changing the trans cooler to a 6.0 cooler because junk gets trapped in the stock cooler when they slip and the 6.0 coolers are bigger. Tax install cooler and fluid came to$ 4500 for only about$ 1500 more than a stock one its a no brainer. I love mine
