I know this was in another topic but I think this problem belongs here.
I have changed the fuel filter....changed plugs and boots. Taken the negative off the battery and let it set for an hour. Cleaned the mass air flow and also the intake throttle body. Also did the relearn on the idle. At a stop light it idled smooth and when I got back it was back to rough. Still is idleing rough.
Any ideas? I am fresh out and have done everything.
Are you talking about the Rough Ride XL post? Is your problem with the engine or something in the rest of your drivetrain? When you are in park and give it a little throttle does you engine run rough?

no not the rough ride XL. I accidentally posted it there when I was posting earlier. I had been talking about this in the rough idle-warranty about to expire thread and I thought it should be here in this one.
Thats what I meant. Woops! Drivetrain is great on this truck. Just a rough idle
no i dont know. I would have to go dig through the trash and see. They were motorcraft. The parts place said the comp said to use these for a 4.6 2007.
I wonder what the heck is going on with it? Anyone have anything they can add for help?
We just had one in the shop that we changed the plugs on and only one came out we had to use the famous tool to get the other 7 out. once we got it all back together it ran rough so we checked by unplugging one coil pack at a time to see if it changed. Once we determined it didnt we did a injector cleaner were we hooked up a machine to the rail and unplug the fuel pump and it worked it was a dirty injector that caused it. We also have been getting some that the injectors need replacing. Also it could be camsaft sensor or crank position senor acting up But normally on the fords if the crank sensor or cam sensor act up they dont run

Thank You for your reply! I am going to try this then. What you have said makes alot of sense! I appreciate your feedback!
Mine also has developed this rough idle. I changes the original plugs at 75k, went with champion and ran fine for 15k then ran like poo then went to autolite and ran great for about 30k and now MPG has gone down and rough idle has come back.... So Im gonna change to motorcraft plugs and maybe replace injectors at same time...
Well so far a plug change has not helped mine at all and I have done a ton of work to it. It must be an injector or injectors. I have run two bottles of injector cleaner through it and it helps it a little then the problem comes back. I am going to keep running cleaner in it until it clears up.
This doesn't help any, but I have 65K on my truck, and I can't remember ever having a smooth idle. Even my F350 idles better. Dealer always said it was 'normal'. It's prime time to swap out my plugs, but I've already cleaned out the MAF and throttle, and installed all new filters.
