After reading quite a few post that seem to be related I would like to get fresh prospective on my problem.
When driving slowly and truning the wheel a few inches to the left or right i get a grinding noise that seems to be coming for the front wheels. This problem is even worst if i drive in reverse and turn the wheels slightly. The problem only is noticable when your driving slow. When driving at highways speed if i let off the gas the truck pulls to the right. When i get back on the gas it straighten up.
I have check the brakes, ball joint, and axles to make sure they are moving freely.
I just purchased this truck about a month ago and have been having a lot of problems with it. which are for another post at a later time. Its 2003 f250 crewcab lariat 4x4, 5.4l, w/ 116k.
Did you check your wheel hubs. Jack your truck up,grab the wheels with your hands on the top and bottom and wiggle it .If there's any play, they're shot.
thanks for the suggestions. I did jack up the truck and wiggle the tires and nothing. Also i looked for anything rubbing and didnt see anything. So i decided to just take it to the shop and see if they could find the problem. They call this moring and they couldnt find anything wrong. They stated that it is probably the tires. the tires are dunlop rover rvxt which have about 2000 miles on them. they dont have an aggrive tread on them at all. I guess I will just drive it till they are ruined. Thanks for the advice
