This may be a strange question....I can hear a muffled THUMP! when I put my truck into drive. This doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes as I'm leaving from a parking spot for example. I put it in drive, begin to pull away then sometimes I hear that THUMP! noise. I have a 03' F250 4x4 CC V10. Any ideas or suggestions?
I am waiting for my F250 CC LB V10 to arrive and was wondering how you like your truck so far. I'm glad you brought up the thump as I would probably freak a little bit if I heard that on my new truck. Take care.
I had this problem today! A thud... clunk... some sound that I just couldn't place when I took off... It turned out to be the Cheby Blazer chained to the tailer behind me!
If you do a quick search of this forum for "Thump", you will find several threads on the subject.
It is the AC......I was having the noise until I realized it didn't happen when my AC was off.....It makes the same noise as when I run over a Dodge or chevy
What' really great is when you forget about the thumping while you are trying to manuever in close quarters and just as you get close to that car behind you..."THUMP!"
It's even better when the wife is sitting beside you.
