Question regarding 4x4 auto
So I have ESOF 4 x 4 in my 06 f350 and I know that I have a vaccum leak, but have not had time to diagnose it. With weather right around the corner, my question is if it is safe for me to drive with the hubs set to lock, but with the transfer case selector switch still set to 2 wheel drive. This is the only way I can get the 4 wheel drive to work without getting out of the truck when I need it. I will be driving under normal conditions (highway, city, etc). I would think it would be ok, I just don't want to cause any damage before I have a chance to fix the vaccum leak. Thanks for the help.

You will be fine. Although you may want to turn them out in GOOD conditions, no need to beat your front end up on dry pavement. Last year my hubs were locked in for a month straight "bad conditions" and I had no problems.
O and you may drop a little in fuel mileage, if it matters to ya.
