Got the ones done on the driver's side and the front-most one on the passenger's side, but the other two boots are stuck as they can be. Anybody know of anything I can do to get them off. I've got a pair of boot pliers, but I don't have enough room to get them on the thing.
I've got the sealant (?) to put on them so this doesn't happen again, but that doesn't help me now.
First, try to rotate the boot about the plug to free it rather than pulling on it. Next, you may be able to cut the stuck boots with a razor knife and get a couple of new boot to replace them with. If possible, you could also try to modify your boot tool, bending as needed. If all fails, yank away and plan on new wires.
twist and pull, twist and pull, there are a few different tools to help but.....if you ruin the wires don't mess around get a motorcraft plugwire kit and replace them.
Take a paperclip or small screw driver, stick it down the boot between the wire/boot, move it around in a circle as much as possible. Then try twisting the boot and wire at the same time. If it is still stuck, shove object between boot.wire at the top and spray lube in there.
