Gents...1986 E-350, 6.9, C-6....my trans shifts on the high side like 35mph and then 55 mph. ( always those speeds no matter how much or little throttle). It stays in first till 35 or I shift manually and then second between 35 and 55 mph. The old trans did the same ( I installed this rebuilt 2 months ago).
I found a .................?? on the injector pump. It resembles a throttle position sensor on an EFI vehicle except it has vacuum in and out going to my modulator valve. A test with a vacuum pump shows this part N/G.
I am looking to replace this part as a starting point. Does anyone know the name and if it is available other than a dealership???
I believe the p/n you need is E5TZ-7B200-A It shows as a good p/n through Ford. It will cost you around 75-100 dollars through Ford. It is a vacuum controll valve. Hope that helps you.
