My daughter just bought a 2003 Explorer, 4.0L V-6, automatic 4x4 etc. It has 98000 miles on it and it's very clean inside and out. It runs pretty strong and sounds good and solid.
My question is this, for anyone who is in the know, what are some things I need to look for or prepare for with this many miles on it. Will the tranny be going out soon? How about the timing set? Transfer case? Anything? I would like to find out now so we can be proactive rather than screwed.
