C4 transmission

I have question about a C4 transmission that cane out of a 66 Mustang. Would this transmission mount up to 74 302 that is in my 70 F100 2wd.

if the Mustang has a 289 the the tranny will bolt up, Gigger

I'm guessing that it does, the ad reads that it comes off a 289.

it will bolt up but you might have to fiddle with the linkage a bit, Gigger

Early 289s had a different bolt pattern. Make sure the transmission has 6 evenly spaced bolt holes in the bell housing, and it'll work.

The earlier ones had 5 bolts.
