Hey guys n gals. Im in need of a 2 inch leveling kit, and I was looking around on the "main" diesel websites most guys use here, and I cant find any.
Where do you guys get your leveling kits from? Ive found a few on ebay, but would like to support the guys here (as long as their prices are fair haha)
Anyone know if Riffraff has any? Im gonna be ordering a set of warn hubs from there right away, but couldn't find a leveling kit on his site.
I have a Tuff Country add a leaf and it raised the front just under 2". Some give a bad rap to the add a leaf, but I have been very pleased with mine. It gives a nice feel to the front without being stiff, but not mushy like it was stock. Also it is only about $100 and is easily installed. Check my gallery for pics of the truck with it installed.
I got new Tuff Country springs in the front. MAde it a little nose high but I think it was worth getting new spring instead of just adding more. I will try and find you a link.
$243.85 out the door with shipping and handling. Not bad at all. came with new bushings. But you will have to go get new Longer U bolts. I think i got 10.5" long ones. They had them at my local parts store in stock.
Thanks for all the replies as well as all the links, including the one on Riffraff's site!
I take it the spring, and mini spring kits are the way to go, over the shackles, or the round spacers?
Jim how soon are you taking your kit off?
The round spacers are for 2wd. I will be doing my lift in the late winter very early spring Sheldon. If you can hang off till them The ones I have now are yours brother.
Mine has an add a leaf on it too. Was on when i bought it. Personally i think it rides like total poop. Very stiff. Ive been considering removing it and going with longer shackles or something else, or frankly nothing at all.
I installed some airbags in my truck, and with a little air in them, the *** end sits up alot higher then normal. In the summer its no problem, but in the winter time, it messes with my center of balance so bad, that the truck slips and slides like you wouldnt believe!
For me, I can handle a little worse ride, for a little better traction, and not having to engage my truck in 4 wheel drive constantly!
