Most people in jeeps and on motorcycles wave in passing, as just to say HELLO.
Well the other day I'm truckin down the highway and along comes an identical 2011 f350 ccsb 6.7 Sterling Gray Metallic comes up in my rear view then along side, so as we cruise side by side i fold and unfold my power mirrors 2 times and then watch the other drivers face light up as i felt the same laughter i feel this should be our new "SUPERDUTY SALUTE"
Anyways let me know what you guys think, or atleast dont hate it till you try it
I've never had a Super Duty owner wave, except tow trucks. Here 80% of tow trucks wave at each other. I do get quite a few thumbs up though. Here bus drivers, motorcycle riders, police, towing, and a few other groups wave. It's usually not model specific though.
I think it's a great idea, most of us folks in the little country towns do a little wave anyway, and when I was into Corvettes, the Wave was a BIG thing, we should all give it a try, maybe people won't think we are too crazy!!
By the time my mirrors fold in and back out again, I will have driven close to a mile and the other guy will be shaking his head saying what in the world was that fool doing!
I do wish Superduty owners would wave more often. I guess maybe it's not such a big deal to most because there is more of us on the road than anything else!
A "thumbs up" or wave works for me. By the time my eyes and brain hook up with my hand to the mirror toggle the other Ford guy is long gone - well, unless we're headed the same direction, of course! Never hurts to be friendly.
