4wd steering vibration

We just had our first big snow of the year here in reno and i notice that when im making a sharp turn in 4wd with a good 4 inches of snow on the ground there is a strong vibration in the steering wheel as if its binding. I also notice a similar but much more mild vibration while the hubs are locked and in 2wd. Is this normal?

tight turns when locked in 4x4 will cause slight binding even on ice/snow, which is the jerking/binding feeling your getting. with the hubs locked you will notice alittle noise in the front or atleast i have on all my trucks when in 2wd.

far as i can tell what your describing is toatly normal. i havent taken mine out of 4x4 since the start of the november. hubs will be locked till april.

I posted something similar in the 4x4 section, similar issue with my X while in 4x4. Slight popping when in 4x4. I'm gonna try greasing the drive shaft up there, heard that may help some. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ck-in-4x4.html
